Six scores read from a birth chart, treating it as the specification of a vehicle rather than a verdict on a person. Every star the chart places is walked in turn: its weight for an axis is multiplied by its rank and by how much the palace it landed in matters, and six factors are summed — the stars, the pairs between them, chart-wide conditions, and the hazards that subtract.

The totals are then normalised against a budget the six share. That is the part worth understanding before reading any single number: a chart cannot be tall everywhere, so what matters is the shape rather than any one axis. A flat six is not a strong chart, it is an undifferentiated one.

The same five widths apply to all six axes, so a reading is comparable across them. A score of 61 — the average when the budget is split evenly — reads as Balanced.

What are Vessel Stats?

How is each score worked out?
Every star the chart places is walked in turn. Its weight for the stat is multiplied by its rank or rarity and by how much the palace it landed in matters to that stat, and six factors are summed — the stars themselves, pair formations between them, chart-wide conditions, and the hazards that subtract. The totals are then normalised against a fixed budget shared by all six.
Is a high score better?
On its own axis, yes. Across the six, the question does not mean much: the budget is shared, so a tall reading on one axis is paid for by a shorter one elsewhere, and the useful reading is the shape rather than any single number. A flat six is not a strong chart, it is an undifferentiated one.
Why is there a sixth stat some pages do not mention?
Resilience was added to the engine after the first write-up of this feature and the older copy has been corrected to match. There are six, they have always been six in the scoring tables, and every one of them has its own page here.
