What Charisma measures

Charisma measures the pull a person exerts in a room and their facility in negotiation — the social surface rather than the private character. It is the most outward-facing of the six and the only one whose affinities are spread almost evenly across three palaces rather than concentrated in one, because the chart reads attraction as something that happens in company and counts it wherever company appears. That spread makes it the axis most easily raised by a single well-placed star and the one where a high score says least about the rest of the chart. Worth stating plainly: this measures effect on other people. It is silent on whether that effect is used generously, and the catalogue contains charming stars that are hazards everywhere else.

Vessel Stats are one of the four readings Bond Level 2 unlocks. They are scored from a full birth chart, so the hour, day and month all matter — a birth year on its own produces no chart and therefore no scores.

The five Charisma bands

ExceptionalRank S85 and above

Pull that operates before anything is said. Rooms warm, negotiations open easily and attention arrives unrequested. The catalogue is clear that this measures effect rather than intent, and the stars that produce it include several that are hazards on every other axis.

StrongRank A70–84

Well-liked, persuasive and easy in company, without the conspicuousness of the band above. Reads as social competence rather than magnetism, which is generally the more comfortable version to live with.

BalancedRank B55–69

Comfortable in company and unremarkable in it. This chart neither draws a room nor struggles in one, and its social outcomes are decided mostly by choice of company rather than by the reading.

DevelopingRank C40–54

Company costs something. Not difficulty so much as expense — this chart spends energy where a higher reading would gain it, and does better in small rooms chosen deliberately than in large ones entered by default.

ChallengingRank D0–39

The chart is turned inward. Broad social pull is genuinely not available here, and the standard advice — go and be more outgoing — is the least useful thing anybody could offer. Depth in a few relationships is the axis this chart actually has.

The band widths are the same for all six axes, so a reading is comparable across them.

What raises Charisma

Every star carries a weight for this axis, and where it lands multiplies that weight again. The third column is the part a radar chart cannot show: what else the same star pulls on, and therefore what a chart built for Charisma tends to be spending.

Where a star has to land to count

The same star is worth far more in one palace than another. These are the multipliers for Charisma — a star outside all of them still counts, at a fraction of its weight.

PalaceMultiplier
Outer Persona×1.0
Associate×0.8
Romance×0.8
Inner Persona×0.5

Rank multiplies everything on top of that: an S-rank placement scores 12 where a C scores 1 and a D subtracts 3.

Pairs that lift Charisma

Some contributions exist only when two specific stars appear together, which means a chart can be quietly strong here in a way no single placement reveals.

  • Crystal Attraction — magnetic pull+5
  • Honor & Blessing — dignified grace+4

The other five axes

The six are normalised against a shared budget, so they are read against each other rather than on an absolute scale. A tall reading on one is paid for by a shorter one elsewhere.

  • Leadership— Ability to withstand pressure, command authority, and influence others.
  • Fortune— Capacity to attract resources, manage assets, and retain earnings.
  • Intellect— Capacity for learning, planning, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Health— Physical resilience, recovery speed, and mental stamina.
  • Resilience— Willpower, adversity endurance, and ability to recover from setbacks.

Frequently asked

What is Charisma in a birth chart?
Diplomacy, attraction, negotiation skills, and popularity.
What raises Charisma?
57 of the catalogue's stars carry weight for it, led by Night Lord, Luck Magus, Negotiator. Where the star lands matters as much as which star it is: a placement in Outer Persona counts for full weight, and rank multiplies everything — an S-rank placement is worth 12 where a C is worth 1, and 12 stars pull the other way.
Can every stat be high at once?
No, and that is deliberate. The six are normalised against a fixed budget, so they are read against each other rather than on an absolute scale — a chart strong everywhere would say nothing. 55 of the stars feeding Charisma also feed another axis, so a chart built for this one is usually visibly shaped, not evenly filled.
What do the Charisma bands mean?
Exceptional (S) from 85 up; Strong (A) from 70 to 84; Balanced (B) from 55 to 69; Developing (C) from 40 to 54; Challenging (D) from 0 to 39. The five bands are the same widths for all six axes, so a reading is comparable across them.

A single axis is one sixth of the picture. The board scores all six from a birth date and draws the shape they make together.
