What Fortune measures
Fortune measures the capacity to attract resources and, separately and more importantly, to keep them — the scoring gives real weight to retention rather than only to income, and a chart can read high here on the strength of what it does not lose. It is the axis most sensitive to where a star landed rather than which star it was: the Wealth and Property palaces carry it, and a strong money star sitting outside them contributes a fraction of what it would inside. This is also the axis with the most negative conditions attached, several of which subtract for what is absent rather than what is present. Read it as a description of how resources behave around a person, not as a forecast of how many there will be.
Vessel Stats are one of the four readings Bond Level 2 unlocks. They are scored from a full birth chart, so the hour, day and month all matter — a birth year on its own produces no chart and therefore no scores.
The five Fortune bands
ExceptionalRank S85 and above
Resources arrive and, more unusually, stay. The scoring rewards retention as much as attraction, so a reading this high generally means both halves are working. What it does not describe is scale, and the traditional warning attached to this band is about assuming the pattern is permanent.
StrongRank A70–84
Money behaves predictably around this chart — it comes in on effort and does not leak badly. The most comfortable band on this axis and the one least likely to produce either a windfall or a crisis worth writing a verse about.
