What Resilience measures
Resilience measures willpower and the capacity to come back — endurance under adversity rather than the ability to avoid it, which is what separates it from Health and from Leadership, the two axes it is most often confused with. It is the newest of the six and the most distinctively scored: several of its strongest contributions come from stars that are hazards on every other axis, and one condition credits a chart for having no avatar in the Inner Persona palace at all, reading self-reliance where the other axes read absence. That is the shape of this axis in one line. It is the only one where difficulty in the chart tends to raise the score rather than lower it, which is either the most interesting thing about the engine or the most suspicious, depending on the reader.
Vessel Stats are one of the four readings Bond Level 2 unlocks. They are scored from a full birth chart, so the hour, day and month all matter — a birth year on its own produces no chart and therefore no scores.
The five Resilience bands
ExceptionalRank S85 and above
Comes back from things that stop other charts. This is the axis where difficulty in the chart raises the score, so a reading this high frequently sits beside genuinely hard placements elsewhere — the two are the same fact seen twice, not a contradiction.
StrongRank A70–84
Durable under sustained adversity and quick to recover direction after a setback. Strong without the specific hard placements the top band usually carries, which makes this the easier version of the same capacity.
BalancedRank B55–69
Recovers from setbacks at an ordinary rate. Neither hardened by the chart nor left thin by it, which means what happens here depends more on what has actually been survived than on the reading.
DevelopingRank C40–54
Setbacks land heavily and clear slowly. Worth reading beside Health, which shares some of the same machinery — where both are low, the constraint is usually one thing rather than two.
ChallengingRank D0–39
The chart put nothing into endurance, and this is the band where the shared-budget point matters most: a low reading here very often sits opposite a tall one on an axis that was never tested. It describes what has not been built, not what cannot be.
The band widths are the same for all six axes, so a reading is comparable across them.
What raises Resilience
Every star carries a weight for this axis, and where it lands multiplies that weight again. The third column is the part a radar chart cannot show: what else the same star pulls on, and therefore what a chart built for Resilience tends to be spending.

Where a star has to land to count
The same star is worth far more in one palace than another. These are the multipliers for Resilience — a star outside all of them still counts, at a fraction of its weight.
| Palace | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Inner Persona | ×1.0 |
| Career | ×0.8 |
| Health | ×0.5 |
Rank multiplies everything on top of that: an S-rank placement scores 12 where a C scores 1 and a D subtracts 3.
Pairs that lift Resilience
Some contributions exist only when two specific stars appear together, which means a chart can be quietly strong here in a way no single placement reveals.
- Warrior's Forge — unyielding command+6
- Trial by Fire — adversity into wisdom+7
- Chaos Forge — General + Berserker+8
The other five axes
The six are normalised against a shared budget, so they are read against each other rather than on an absolute scale. A tall reading on one is paid for by a shorter one elsewhere.
- Leadership— Ability to withstand pressure, command authority, and influence others.
- Fortune— Capacity to attract resources, manage assets, and retain earnings.
- Intellect— Capacity for learning, planning, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Charisma— Diplomacy, attraction, negotiation skills, and popularity.
- Health— Physical resilience, recovery speed, and mental stamina.
Frequently asked
- What is Resilience in a birth chart?
- Willpower, adversity endurance, and ability to recover from setbacks. It is the newest of the six and the most distinctively scored: several of its strongest contributions come from stars that are hazards on every other axis, and one condition credits a chart for having no avatar in the Inner Persona palace at all, reading self-reliance where the other axes read absence. It is the only one where difficulty in the chart tends to raise the score rather than lower it, which is either the most interesting thing about the engine or the most suspicious, depending on the reader.
- What raises Resilience?
- 37 of the catalogue's stars carry weight for it, led by Crimson Lord, Tide Lord, Chaos Knight. Where the star lands matters as much as which star it is: a placement in Inner Persona counts for full weight, and rank multiplies everything — an S-rank placement is worth 12 where a C is worth 1, and 13 stars pull the other way.
- Can every stat be high at once?
- No, and that is deliberate. The six are normalised against a fixed budget, so they are read against each other rather than on an absolute scale — a chart strong everywhere would say nothing. 37 of the stars feeding Resilience also feed another axis, so a chart built for this one is usually visibly shaped, not evenly filled.
- What do the Resilience bands mean?
- Exceptional (S) from 85 up; Strong (A) from 70 to 84; Balanced (B) from 55 to 69; Developing (C) from 40 to 54; Challenging (D) from 0 to 39. The five bands are the same widths for all six axes, so a reading is comparable across them.
A single axis is one sixth of the picture. The board scores all six from a birth date and draws the shape they make together.
