What Health measures
Health measures physical resilience, recovery speed and mental stamina together, which is unusual — the chart does not separate body from nerve, and a reading here covers both. It is the axis most shaped by protective formations rather than by individual stars: the strongest contributions come from shielding pairs that only count when both halves appear, so charts tend to read either notably defended or notably exposed rather than somewhere in the middle. One condition in the engine is deliberately counter-intuitive and worth knowing about, because it credits certain disruptive stars in the Health palace as a clearing rather than a threat. Nothing on this axis is a medical statement. It describes how a chart handles strain, which is a different and much older question.
Vessel Stats are one of the four readings Bond Level 2 unlocks. They are scored from a full birth chart, so the hour, day and month all matter — a birth year on its own produces no chart and therefore no scores.
The five Health bands
ExceptionalRank S85 and above
Well defended, usually by a shielding formation rather than by any single placement. Strain is absorbed and recovery is quick. This axis is silent on medicine and always will be; what it describes is how a chart handles load, not what happens to a body.
StrongRank A70–84
Sturdy, with real recovery capacity and no significant exposure showing. Strong without the specific protective pairing the top band generally needs, so it reads as a good baseline rather than as active defence.
BalancedRank B55–69
Ordinary durability. Recovers from ordinary strain in ordinary time, and neither the protections nor the exposures of this axis are doing much in this chart.
DevelopingRank C40–54
Recovery is slower than the demands typically placed on it, which shows up as accumulation rather than as any single event. This is an axis where the reading changes most with what is actually done about it.
ChallengingRank D0–39
Exposed rather than merely unprotected — this band usually means the shielding formations are absent and something is actively subtracting. The reading is about strain tolerance and nothing else, and it is worth treating as a scheduling constraint rather than a prophecy.
The band widths are the same for all six axes, so a reading is comparable across them.
What raises Health
Every star carries a weight for this axis, and where it lands multiplies that weight again. The third column is the part a radar chart cannot show: what else the same star pulls on, and therefore what a chart built for Health tends to be spending.

Where a star has to land to count
The same star is worth far more in one palace than another. These are the multipliers for Health — a star outside all of them still counts, at a fraction of its weight.
| Palace | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Health | ×1.0 |
| Inner Persona | ×0.8 |
| Genesis | ×0.5 |
Rank multiplies everything on top of that: an S-rank placement scores 12 where a C scores 1 and a D subtracts 3.
Pairs that lift Health
Some contributions exist only when two specific stars appear together, which means a chart can be quietly strong here in a way no single placement reveals.
- Sky-Earth Shield — divine protection+6
- Guardian Shield — layered protection+5
- Vitality Engine — endurance + recovery+5
The other five axes
The six are normalised against a shared budget, so they are read against each other rather than on an absolute scale. A tall reading on one is paid for by a shorter one elsewhere.
- Leadership— Ability to withstand pressure, command authority, and influence others.
- Fortune— Capacity to attract resources, manage assets, and retain earnings.
- Intellect— Capacity for learning, planning, analysis, and problem-solving.
- Charisma— Diplomacy, attraction, negotiation skills, and popularity.
- Resilience— Willpower, adversity endurance, and ability to recover from setbacks.
Frequently asked
- What is Health in a birth chart?
- Physical resilience, recovery speed, and mental stamina. - What raises Health?
- 31 of the catalogue's stars carry weight for it, led by Stamina Crystal, Recovery Crystal, Earth Crystal. Where the star lands matters as much as which star it is: a placement in Health counts for full weight, and rank multiplies everything — an S-rank placement is worth 12 where a C is worth 1, and 20 stars pull the other way.
- Can every stat be high at once?
- No, and that is deliberate. The six are normalised against a fixed budget, so they are read against each other rather than on an absolute scale — a chart strong everywhere would say nothing. 30 of the stars feeding Health also feed another axis, so a chart built for this one is usually visibly shaped, not evenly filled.
- What do the Health bands mean?
- Exceptional (S) from 85 up; Strong (A) from 70 to 84; Balanced (B) from 55 to 69; Developing (C) from 40 to 54; Challenging (D) from 0 to 39. The five bands are the same widths for all six axes, so a reading is comparable across them.
A single axis is one sixth of the picture. The board scores all six from a birth date and draws the shape they make together.
